Who we are

At Birely Counseling Services, we work with clients through a holistic lens. While many people seek therapy for a specific behavior or challenge, we believe there are often deeper roots influencing what isn’t going well.

Emotions are one of our most basic ways of understanding ourselves, others, and the world around us. When emotions feel overwhelming, uncomfortable, or more intense than we think they “should” be, it’s natural to start fearing them. Instead of seeing emotions as helpful information, we may begin trying to avoid them altogether.

Over time, these avoidance patterns can turn into behaviors that no longer serve us—and are often what bring people to therapy in the first place. Our work as therapists is to support clients in gently letting go of these patterns while building a deeper understanding of their emotions and what they’re communicating. As this understanding grows, so does the ability to respond in more aligned and sustainable ways.

Without a strong foundation of emotional awareness and tolerance, relationships can also become more difficult to navigate. At Birely Counseling Services, we believe that connection is at the core of everything. From the moment we are born, connection is a fundamental human need—and it remains essential throughout our lives.

We strive to create spaces where genuine connection can be experienced. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes an opportunity to better understand patterns in relationships and to practice new, more fulfilling ways of connecting with others.

Through this process, clients often find they feel more grounded, more connected, and more able to navigate life with greater clarity and confidence. We invite you to explore our therapists’ profiles and find someone you feel you could be a good fit.
