Your Questions, Answered.

  • Getting started is as simple as reaching out through our contact form or by email. From there, a member of our team will connect with you to learn more about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you may have, and help match you with a therapist who feels like a good fit. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out—we’ll take it one step at a time together.

  • The short answer is no—we are an out-of-network practice and do not work directly with insurance companies.

That said, we do our best to make therapy as accessible as possible. We provide SuperBills, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.

We also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients who inquire.

If you have questions about cost or coverage, we encourage you to reach out. We’re happy to help you explore your options and find something that feels manageable.

  • That’s more common than you might think. Many people come to therapy with a general sense that something isn’t working, without clear words for it yet. Part of our work together is creating space to better understand what you’re experiencing and what might be helpful. You don’t need a clear starting point—just a willingness to begin.

  • Not at all. While we have specialized experience in eating disorder treatment and recovery, we work with many clients who are navigating a wide range of challenges.

Our approach is centered on understanding your experience as a whole, so you don’t need a specific diagnosis or label to begin. Wherever you’re starting from, we’re here to meet you there.

  • Our role isn’t to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you better understand yourself and your experiences. Together, we explore what has worked for you, what hasn’t, and what might feel more aligned moving forward. We believe lasting change comes from developing your own insight and sense of direction, rather than being given answers.

  • That’s completely okay. You don’t need to feel comfortable around horses to participate in equine-assisted therapy. In fact, feeling unsure or nervous can be a meaningful part of the process.

We move at a pace that feels manageable for you, and there is never any pressure to interact with the horses in a way that doesn’t feel safe. Much of the work can happen simply by being in the environment, observing, and noticing what comes up for you. Your experience—whatever it is—is what matters most, and we’ll navigate it together.

  • It’s not uncommon for people to have had past experiences with therapy that didn’t feel helpful. Often, finding the right fit—both in terms of the therapist and the approach—can make a meaningful difference. We’re open to talking about what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past and approaching things in a way that feels more supportive.

  • We work from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective and do not focus on weight loss as a goal of therapy. Instead, we focus on supporting clients in building a more connected, sustainable relationship with their bodies, their needs, and their overall well-being.
