Individual Therapy
We provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and general adjustment issues. We all attempt to find ways to cope with the stressors of life, but sometimes our ways of coping end up creating more problems for us.
We believe counseling is something that should be tailored to each individual client so they receive the best possible help. We use an integrative approach, blending ideas from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which focuses on challenging the negative thoughts that keep us down, Mindfulness training, which emphasizes tolerating uncomfortable situations and emotions, and Interpersonal Therapy, an idea that learning new ways to relate to others can help alleviates some of our struggles. Integrating ideas and techniques from all, we work with our clients to develop a therapy that is the most helpful to them.
Located right in Cockeysville off 83, our office is convenient to Towson and Baltimore. We are currently offering both in person and virtual services and are also able to provide telehealth for clients in Florida and Vermont.

Family Therapy
Family therapy can be a helpful addition when any family member is doing work to change their behaviors, thoughts, and beliefs. In a family if one person begins to change it forces the whole family to change how they work and relate to each other. This is when it can be helpful to work together to figure out how each family member can continue to thrive in this new dynamic.
Our direction for family therapy is based off the idea that we are all constantly feeling emotions and that those emotions are influencing how we are reacting to those around us. We work with families to understand the emotions underneath miscommunications and arguments and begin to shift how they relate to each other as a family.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a form of therapy that uses equines (horses, ponies, donkeys, mules, etc) as a part of the therapy practice. There are many different ways this can be applied, but we specifically use training through the Natural Lifemanship Institute to guide the work. Natural Lifemanship believes that horses in therapy are a part of the treatment team, not a tool to be used. Natural Lifemanship’s mission is “to help people and animals form connected, trusting relationships to overcome toxic stress and trauma, and to work toward a world where connection and the value of healthy relationships is seen and felt in everything we do.” The therapy is principle based meaning what you experience and learn in sessions will be able to be generalized outside of sessions. This is an experiential therapy and integrates the experience with processing the emotions and thoughts around the experience. This type of therapy is great for those who are ready to gain a deeper understanding of their experiences in relationships and discover new ways of connecting without it being at the expense of themselves or anyone else.
